The ninth edition is open for submissions. Selections will be announced after notification in June 2027, ahead of the festival in autumn. Send us your short — fiction, documentary, animation or experimental — and it may screen in Rome this autumn.

The eighth edition continued the festival's tradition of intimate soirées in Rome, screening selected works from filmmakers across 28 countries. The audience feedback sessions after each screening once again proved to be the most valued part of the programme for attending directors.
A seventh year of soirées in Rome, with a selection that leaned toward the essayistic and the quietly political. The experimental category drew its strongest field yet.
The sixth edition welcomed a broad international field, from Portugal to Japan, and reaffirmed the festival's appetite for animation that experiments with texture and hand-made technique.
A milestone fifth edition, ranging from Guatemala to Iceland to Greece. The conversations that year ran late into the Roman night.
The fourth edition saw a strong Italian showing in the fiction category and a documentary field stretching from Iran to South Korea.
Held as a hybrid of online and in-person screenings due to pandemic restrictions. The festival adapted without losing its intimacy — the post-screening conversations simply moved, in part, onto the screen.
The second edition broadened the festival's international reach, with awards travelling to Iceland, Senegal and Japan.
